The photo store I sometimes visit has a variety of items on display, in addition to photography equipment, there are tableware, clothing, and more. One day, I asked the owner why he started selling there, and he told me that about 20 years ago, sales of camera fi lm started to decline, and he began placing recycled goods in front of his shop. Eventually, local residents who used to come to the shop began bringing in their unwanted items. These recycled item can be the accumulation of people’s memories or the portrait of this city.conversation with the shop owner.

私がときどき訪れる写真店には、写真の機材以外にも、食器類、服といった様々な物たちが置かれている。ある時８０代後半の店主にその理由を尋ねると、２０年ほど前カメラのフィルムの売れ行きが悪くなり、店先にリサイクル品を置き始める。すると写真店によく通っていた地元住民らも不用品を持ち込むようになっていったと教えてくれた。人々のある種の記憶の積み重ねでもあるリサイクル品を写した写真と、写真店の店主との対話をもとに制作した字幕による、写真店とその街の記憶にまつわる作品
